What we do
Edinburgh Venues
Underbelly was established to operate the Underbelly venue in Edinburgh during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Since then the venue has grown to encompass the Baby Belly in the caves on Niddry Street and in 2006, the UdderBELLY and Reid Hall, both on Bristo Square. In 2008, we will operate four venues incorporating 12 performance spaces ranging in size from 50 to 322 seats, with four bars.

Underbelly Promotions, Productions and Management
In addition to our Edinburgh venues, Underbelly established in 2006 a promotions, productions and management subsidiary, named Underbelly Promotions to promote comedy acts, represent artists, and produce and manage theatre and comedy productions and tours. In 2005, Underbelly co-produced the tour of Jackson's Way, the Perrier Award-winning show from Will Adamsdale.
UdderBELLY
Finally, our new venue, UdderBELLY, an innovative 322-seat temporary structure, is available for hire for corporate events, music and comedy festivals and tours.
Brighton Fringe venue
UdderBELLY first visited the Brighton Fringe Festival in 2007 and will be returning in 2008. UdderBELLY is located on the Old Steine lawns near the front and the pier. We are currently programming for 2008 and when finalised, the programme and tickets will be available here.
Who are we
Underbelly was founded and by executive directors Ed Bartlam and Charlie Wood in 2000 to operate a venue at the Edinburgh Festival. Since then the company has grown and has recently recruited Brett Vincent to act as an additional executive director of Underbelly Promotions to manage the promotion and artist representation side of the business. Tom Page is the third founder and is a non-executive director.
We also have a number of permanent staff including General Manager, David Michel, Production Director, Kenny Easson and Technical Manager, Dave Watson. In more recent years, we have been joined by Martyne, who assists Brett in Underbelly Promotions. Our main office is in London.
